How to apply makeup? Well, applying complete makeup is believed to be quite tough and time consuming but here is a ten step easy and step by step process. Each step below explains the purpose and effects of each method of application of makeup:-

Foundation: This give skin an even tone. This is primarily used to hide red cheeks, freckles and broken veins if any. It is the base for all other types of makeup processes. Applying foundation makes application of other makeup steps quite easier. Remember, Foundation is applied on the facial skin to give it a natural skin tone and it should not be used to change the color of the skin. Foundation is available in the market in different forms namely, liquid, cream or solid form.

Face Powder: Face powder is applied on the face just after applying foundation. Face powder helps to set the foundation which otherwise slides off within 2-3 hours of application. It also helps lipstick to stay in place longer, and prevents creasing of eye shadow and cream blusher.

Concealers: Primary function of concealers in makeup is to blot out broken veins, dark shadows under eyes, blemishes, high cheek colors etc. They and generally applied before applying foundation and comes as a thick cream.

Blusher: Blusher is the first set of cosmetics that is applied on the face. This adds color and warmth to the skin and accentuates cheek bones.

Eyebrow Colors: This is used primarily to add colors to the eyebrows.

Eye Shadows: Eye Shadow shapes the eyes and gives it color and definition.

Lipstick: Lipsticks are primarily used to give emphasis to the mouth (read lips). Lipsticks are applied directly to the lips ot with a stick or lip brush.

Highlighter: Highlighter is used to give a flattering lift to the face. It is primarily used on the brow line, top line center and top of the cheekbone. This is available either in cream form of powder.

Shaders and Contours: Shaders are brown in color and primarily used to give slimming effect to the face. Contours are also brown in color and are used under cheekbone to give it a hollow look. Give a light touch in applying shaders and contours.

Mascara: This is primarily used to emphasis eyes and adds color, thickness and length to the lashes.

TYPES OF HAIR. Hair Health

Dry Hair

Dry hair is due to inactive oil glands. It is also caused by other factors like over exposure to the sun, using harsh shampoo and chemical treatment. Accumulated oil, block the pores not allowing the oil to flow on to the surface. This is another reason for dry hair. Dry hair would need plenty of nourishment.
Massage well with a warm herbal oil at least twice a week. Follow a diet rich in zinc. Use a mild shampoo and avoid harsh ones since the chemicals in them can strip hair of its outer protein layer, further drying the scalp. Do not use electric curlers and hair dryers.
Oily Hair

This is usually accompanied with oily skin. This is due to the over secretion of oil. Hence the scalp and hair gets too oily. Oily hair is easily recognizable. It looks greasy even after shampooing and and attracts more dirt.
The oily hair needs to be washed every third or fourth day or even more frequently depending on individual comfort and rinsed out with lemon. Use oils and shampoos rich in neem and henna. A head massage with a herbal oil helps maintain the pH level of the scalp. Avoid oily foods and binge on green leafy vegetables and fruits.

Balanced or Normal Hair

This is the most ideal hair. It is shining, well balanced and does not dry out. To maintain this ideal condition a well balanced diet and proper care is essential.
